My Productive Cooking Day

I had a very fun and productive day today. I wanted to cook a bunch of recipes that I found on some blogs last night. I was just messing around and found a "healthy" food blog and also just a delicious recipe blog. I wrote down a few of the recipes I liked and decided to make them for Dave. He's so lucky. :) He is always the one to try out my new creations. I made 2 so-called healthy dishes and 2 umm, not-so-healthy dishes.
I got up and went to the store this morning in search of flax seed. I found a bunch of recipes with ground flax seed in it, and since I have a grinder I decided I would try a few. Luckily Smiths is just down the road and they have a huge organic and health food section in the store. I love it! It makes it nice when I'm looking for my soy products. Anyway the peanut rolls I made are 100% Natural. They are really healthy, high in ptotein, and taste delicious. They are my new favorite snack.
Here are some pictures of my cooking day!

My Sister's Darling Fam

So my sister recently had a family photo shoot and this is one of the pics that came out of it. My sister is my best friend and one of my greatest idols. She is so special to me. She is an amazing mom, an incredible athlete (she's ran 2 marathons!), and she is the greatest sister anyone could ever have. She lives in OK where her husband is doing his residency in radiology. I miss her like crazy! She is truly the greatest example I have ever had on how to be a good mom, charitable, honest, loving, considerate, caring, kind, and compassionate. I love you James! Thanks for being the greatest sister a girl could have!

First Day of School

Dave started school today up at the U (again). He was so anxious about it last night, and was getting nervous to go. He's had a great day so far though. We woke up around 7 and had breakfast, I made his lunch and snack, hugged and kissed him and sent him on his way. A couple hours later he sent me a text telling me how he found a great train up to school and that his math teach is German! He was so thrilled about that. He is taking all science classes and I'm so glad it's him and not me. I miss school a ton, but I wouldn't want to take those science classes again. Dave is so much smarter than I am though, so he will have no problem getting straight A's. He just sent me a text that told me how "good" his classes are. "Deans list Here I Come!" was his exact quote. He's so cute!

It's weird to not have him here with me. I'll keep plenty busy though with all the stuff I have to do. I'll finally get things done instead of waiting for the weekend and being lazy all week. So it's back to school for Dave and back to home grind for Jilly :)
